D- Venture hub provides an inspirational work environment to support service design projects, sprints' implementation and is well equipped to support the Design Thinking cycles
Developing Persona Canvas for Users of the Advisory Services
Through creating a guidebook that provides insights of behavioral patterns and opportunity charting, we do help our clients to better understand the profiles, demands and expectations of the potential users of their services, using the design thinking, ethnography and user experience mind and skill-sets to capture fully the intrinsic and extrinsic drives that the latter are affected by throughout the course of their lives. Through the process, we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems in an attempt to identify alternative strategies and solutions that might not be instantly apparent with our initial level of understanding. At the same time, design thinking provides a solution-based approach to solving problems. It is a way of thinking and working as well as a collection of hands-on methods. Furthermore, it revolves around a deep interest in developing an understanding of the people for whom the products or services are being designed. It helps us observe and develop empathy with the target user.

Once idea-makers change their mindset to become human-centric and focus on the user rather than the challenge itself, relevant innovation happens. In D-sustain, all innovations that come out of our D-Chain events are further developed by the help of our business experts to empower innovators themselves to continue creating impact. It is a process that is simply described as agile; a constant iteration and testing sprints until the final user feels satisfied.
One of the ideas is 360 filming network, this track is focusing on providing the tools and gathering the expertise for many implementations for creating an impact on the social level by using 360-degree filming technique.
We organized a Virtual Reality (VR) hackathon with the Information Technology Institute (ITI) in Egypt. Creating Virtual Reality environments is key in order to give viewers a nearly first-hand experience. Around 70 participants ran through a multiple day hackathon to create innovative VR prototypes that solves a certain challenge facing labor market’s job placement and job quality.
D-Sustain supported the team who made it to the top to further develop their prototype into a product through cycles of testing and iteration.

We believe in the D-effect and we also believe that the best way to learn a new skill is to practice. D-Impact is our academy where participants from our D-Chain events experience change, shift their paradigms and would like to become influencers themselves to promote human-centric approaches among their circles and widen/strengthen our D-Chain. They learn by being part of a bootcamp where they will learn, shadow and practice. The academy mainly provides Design Thinking trainings on different levels (basic, mid and advanced) to NGOs, start-ups and corporates.
Integrated workshop using Design Thinking methodology for Policy Recommendation
We conducted a workshop that focused on the topic of “Child Protection” within the Egyptian Dual System. The workshop aimed at generating solutions and creating ideas on how to embed this topic in the project’s work plans and operations.
After the workshop, and based on the moderator debrief and outcome, we validated the outcomes of the workshop and D- Venture supported the client in developing a common stance on the topic of child protection and possible action for way forward.
